Dock at age 16
During World War II, Dock owned a small gas station, located in the small town of
Atoka, Oklahoma. Tragically, on July 27, 1943, during a botched robbery attempt
at his gas station, Dock was shot to death by a teenager named Clarence Carnes,
who would go on to become a notorious criminal and the youngest man ever to
be sent to Alcatraz.
